Humans, given a higher
But what adds to the point; not only we could dream but we also could pursue those dreams. The question is how to pursue those dreams. That is, we could develop plans or strategies such as goal settings to achieve those dreams. The plans and strategies laid out does not mean that one can achieve it. It requires continuous actions and hard work, not just sitting by the window pane daydreaming (which I usually did).
Less than 3 months, my life will erode into a new chapter. That is, I would be working, earning income; hoping to achieve my dream. I'm an Australian born Chinese who grew up in Malaysia and return to his homeland after 20 years (my circumstances probably happens to one in a million people). Thus, I've given the opportunity to experience the Malaysian culture. No offense or anything, I personally thinks that people in Australia are much more friendly compared to the people in Malaysia. Take an example, whenever, I make a purchase from a local supermarket, in Australia, the cashier in the counter would always ask 'How are you?'. These three words might not meant much to many people but it definitely put a smile on my face as it shows courtesy towards others. Even strangers would have a quick chat with you when you're in a public transport.
On the other hand, I clearly remembered at the end of last year when I just came back to Malaysia for semester break where I went to a local supermarket in Malaysia; helping my mum with groceries. I placed the groceries on the table and what I saw was most the cashiers carry sour faces. I know it's always better when we are opposite of the counter but the whole purchase process definitely leaves an imprint in my heart telling me how unfriendly this society it is. What would foreigners think when they make purchase from local supermarkets in Malaysia as well?
Life can only be understood backwards,
but can only be lived forwards.
but can only be lived forwards.
Anyway, the final hurdle for me begins on Tuesday and ends on Thursday. I'm fully prepared not...
